John Parnass, the editor of this blog, is a partner in the Seattle office of DWT. Randy Steichen, a partner in DWT’s Seattle office, has more than 20 years of experience representing clients on construction and design law issues involving complex construction projects located throughout the United States and abroad. He is a skilled trial lawyer who has successfully resolved significant claims through negotiaton, alternative dispute resolution processes (including dispute review boards, mediation, and mini-trials); domestic and international arbitration, and trial. Mr. Steichen has been recognized by various industry groups and professional organizations for his construction and design law expertise, and he frequently writes and speaks on topics of interest to the construction industry and design professions.

John Theiss is a partner in the Seattle office of DWT. John's practice focuses on construction, architecture, engineering and government contracts law, with an emphasis on transactions and litigation arising from infrastructure projects. John's experience includes five years as general counsel for a large public works construction firm. He is admitted in both Washington and Illinois. 

Zak Tomlinson is an associate in the Seattle office of DWT. He specializes in construction litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and has experience representing owners (public and private), design professionals and contractors in a wide variety of construction-related disputes.
